• Question: Can kisses spread diseases??????

      Absolutely! There are many infections that can be spread by saliva (and mucus, mmm…). Mono (mononucleosis) is probably the most commonly known infection, but there are several others. You can read more here: https://www.verywell.com/kiss-of-deathor-diseases-1958924 !

      Some diseases can, like Herpes Simplex Virus. And as Melissa said, mono can as well (from Epstein Barr Virus and Cytomegalovirus).

      Yes they can but it depends on the type of disease. Most of the most dangerous diseases, are transferred by blood or bodily fluids not usually kissing. Viruses that cause colds, flus, and other common illnesses can be transferred by kissing.

      As the others have mentioned, our body fluids are a great way of transferring disease from one person to the next.

      Something you may not know is that all humans have tiny little mites that live on our faces. It is thought that we get those face mites as babies when our parents kiss us for the first time!
