I’d rather focus on local, state, and federal elections. They have more of a say in allocating funding to science than the president does, and routinely have significantly lower turnout.

      Hello brosef1000.

I currently do not have a president that I am for. Nearing the end of the primaries, I will decide. I have honestly been too busy to get too involved in politics this year!

      Hi Brosef,

It has been a little hard to sort through all the information that each of the presidential candidates has put out so far. But like Kevin, I think I’ll make a final decision in August or September. As Melissa says, science funding tends to come from congress, state, and local representatives, so we often try to speak with them for our work.

I don’t know whether you’re able to vote or not, but either way, it is important to learn as much as possible about each of the candidates for ALL of the elections in your area. Talking to them about what’s important to you really makes a difference!

I am honestly not sure yet. I guess I want to see how the 2 final candidates present themselves and discuss their perspectives on major issues after the party conventions to completely decide.
