  I am interested in studying pain from surgery because it is something that as doctors, especially anesthesiologists, we can help improve directly. Chronic pain will change how someone feels after acute surgical pain so its all connected. By studying how different people and surgeries change pain we can learn what medications we should use to help them as best as we can..
