  I do not know all the substances of the periodic table. The great thing about science is that it is not about memorizing things, it is about learning things about them and how to think about them. I might not know the element “Francium” for example. But I do know where to find it on the periodic table and from its location, I can tell you that it is a lot like sodium. The periodic table is very cleverly laid out.

  I do have many things memorized, but I’ve also learned where to look things up when I need to.
