      Anti-dab,

I remember you from the chat on Monday! If I had to recommend a book to a fourth grader, it would probably be Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It’s a little bit scary, but a wonderful, wonderful book.

Charlotte’s Web was one of my favorite books around that time. It inspired me to adopt a spider. I fed it flies, and sprinkled water on the leaves in the jar. I named it Charlotte, of course, and had small holes in the lid for her to breathe. It was winter so I didn’t want to release her outside. She even made an egg sack. Everything was great until the babies hatched, escaped the jars through the holes in the lid and filled my room while I slept. I was pretty scared but it was fun and an amazing book. PS. You can read it without deciding to have a pet spider.

I’ve read all of the Harry Potter books and really liked them (thinking about re-reading them). I also really liked (and still like) National Geographic magazines.
