I loved Mr. Wizard and Bill Nye the Science Guy, but neither of them did the kind of work I’m doing now (computational biology).

No TV shows, I decided to become a scientist when I was in college. But I did watch Bill Nye as a kid.

I too watched Mr. Wizard, Bill Nye, and Kratt’s Kreatures. None of them did a whole lot of neuroscience, but they made it seem like ANYONE could do science. I believe that still.

      Hi Chris,
I can’t think of any TV shows that inspired me to become a scientist, but I loved watching movies and reading books that were science fiction or mysteries. Those types of stories made me curious about how things work and probably made me more creative in my work now.

Like Melissa I like Bill Nye and also Beakman’s world and Myth busters. I don’t think that these shows showed me how to be a scientist completely but I did learn about experiments and get excited to do science.
