I entered I’m a scientist because I firmly believe that while only a small number of people choose science careers, we are all scientists. I want people to use their creativity and curiosity about the world to explore it in a thoughtful way. That’s what we do as scientists, and you certainly can, too!

I wanted to talk to younger students about what it’s like to be a scientist! It’s nice to practice talking about my research without using lots of scientific jargon and to connect with other people about science.

I entered in “I’m a Scientist”, because I wanted to talk about science with non-scientists. It is fun to see the creative questions you ask and it gets me to learn something new. People have a unique way of looking at things, and I always like hearing other people’s thoughts on things.
