Older adults have smaller brains on average than younger people. Our brains start shrinking in our 20s, sadly. But old brains aren’t less developed! Because they have seen and learned a lot over their lives, they can get by without as much brain power as young people need.

Older adults may be slower when it comes to thinking and memory abilities, but a lot of research shows that they have much more knowledge. They’re truly doing more with less. 🙂
