Question: Do peoples brain shrink or grow as they grow older?
age, brain, grow
Asked by PotatoPazza322 to Jonathan on 4 May 2016.
answered on 4 May 2016:
Our brains grow until our early 20s. Then they almost immediately start shrinking. The shrinking doesn’t really become noticeable until people get into their 50s and 60s though.
The coolest thing is that the whole brain doesn’t shrink at the same rate! Some parts shrink fast, some shrink slowly, and some may not change at all!
