I think what is more important is to focus on the rest of the elections that are happening – local, state, and federal – because that is where the majority of the decisions for science funding are made.
There is a website that has spent a lot of time tracking how the election is going to go: http://fivethirtyeight.com. This website isn’t perfect, but it uses the science of numbers to try to figure out who’s most likely to win various elections, especially the US presidential election.
They often report that it’s still too soon to know who is going to win the election. So many things can happen between now and November. What’s most important is that you and your loved ones ensure that you have elected representatives at all levels who represent your view: local, county, state, and federal. Read everything you can, and make sure that everyone who can vote, does so. Whether or not you want Trump as your next president, if you vote, you can make a difference.
