Yes, it is hard to work with some scientists. Some times people think the way to do an experiment is correct, but others will insist on something else. The key to this teamwork is to find some middle ground. Teamwork is all about talking to one another, and science is all about teamwork to me. So never stop talking about the issue until it is resolved.

Scientists are people, too! Just like any other type of person, scientists can be funny or smart or silly or rude or lazy or stubborn or awesome.
So yes, it can be difficult to work with some scientists when they are not willing to work with you. As Kevin said, these days science is all about teamwork – if you can’t work well with others, oftentimes you get left behind. It is to the benefit of everyone to be flexible, which can be hard for all of us sometimes, myself included.

Yes, I agree with Kevin and Jonathan- sometimes it’s hard to work with other people when it seems like they are being stubborn and you can’t understand their perspective. But it’s always good to compromise– you can pretty much always find a middle ground.

Yes it can be hard but working together is usually worth the extra effort. Finding compromise is important that takes a lot of talking and figuring out what middle ground will make everyone happy. Usually teamwork isn’t that difficult but when it is you just have to take a deep breathe, not take it personally, and work on compromise.

Absolutely. Some scientists, just like in any discipline, are difficult to work with. I think it is especially important to carefully consider who I’m going to work with, because a collaboration with a very difficult person can be miserable.
