As a kid, I was most fascinated by lots of things. When I was in kindergarten, I remember crying on the first day because when I asked what day we’d start studying volcanoes, I was told that volcanoes were not a common topic for kindergarteners. Later, I had one of those cheap chemistry sets that my parents bought me, and I was always trying to make things explode (never worked, alas). As I got a little older, I became fascinated by our solar system and the shape of the universe.
I didn’t end up as a tectonic geologist, a chemist, or a particle physicist, but I’ve always been curious about ourselves and our world!

I liked learning about plant and animal adaptations- how do they survive extreme conditions like high altitude, cold, or heat? I think I liked biology the best.

Physiology and anatomy, I loved seeing how the human body worked. But that was about the extent of my interest in science when I was younger. I fell in love with science in college. What subject do you like?

Chemistry like making model volcanoes explode and safely blowing things up (in a lab).

Circuits. I liked building those little radio kids, and seeing all the different kinds of electronic stuff we could build as a kid. I’d love to get back into it.
